BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Iraq, Ammar al-Hakim discussed with Army Chief of Staff Babaker Zebari remove the military away from political conflicts.
A statement for the media department of the Council said that "Al-Hakim received Zebari today 23, Feb at his office in Baghdad and discussed with him matters of the military foundation in the country and ways of strengthening the Iraqi army."
He said: "The meeting also discussed matters relating to keep the military away from political conflicts, because it does not benefit the citizen. / End
