Shafaq News / Presidency of the parliament decided on Saturday, to postpone voting on the federal budget law because of differences of political blocs on its terms.
A parliamentary source told "Shafaq News", that “new differences emerged on the federal budget law among a number of blocs on the items and provincial quotas, prompting the presidency of the Council to postpone voting on today's session."
The source said that is likely that the lack of quorum was the reason behind not convening the twelfth session that was delayed because of differences over a week ago.
It is noted that the dispute over quotas of the provincial budget allocations and claim of each province of a bigger share is of the main reasons that hindered voting on budget of 2013 despite the passage of a month and a half on the start of the year, sparking fears of many from delaying the approval for a longer period; which leads to hinder the approval of bills that interest to the citizen.
